Our stay at this charming Inn was delightful. Despite the restaurant being under renovation, we enjoyed our unique jail-themed room and the convenient location for our family reunion in the park. While the check-in window was narrow, the accommodating Patrick made us feel at home and shared interesting historical facts about the Inn. We only wish there was more comfortable seating in our room. we would happily return and recommend this gem of a hotel to friends and family.

The location couldn't be better - right in the heart of downtown, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Despite being in the center, it was still quiet and peaceful. The whole town has a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

I loved the location of this hotel, it was perfect for us! We were able to walk to many great restaurants in the downtown core and there was even a beach nearby. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, including an electric kettle and free toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful, they even gave us recommendations for fun activities to do around here. I also enjoyed the terrace and the garden furniture outside of our room.

Prime location near beach, cafes, and restaurants. Owner was welcoming during crisis. Marvelous use of old jail as boutique hotel. Original prison bars in some rooms. Clean with lots of information. Some rooms in basement with memorabilia. Haunted vibes, but had a great night's sleep. Highly recommend. A cool and quirky place to stay. Dramatic temperature differences. Some may find it stuffy. Friendly staff. Good location.

The value for money at the King George Inn was excellent! The room was cozy and I couldn't hear a peep from the pub downstairs. Plus, the location was ideal, close to the waterfront and downtown area. The Irish pub on the main floor provided a great atmosphere and the live music was an added bonus. We also enjoyed exploring the jailhouse museum downstairs, although it was a little eerie.
