The location of the hotel was ideal, situated between the bus terminal and the city center. This made it convenient for exploring the area and easy to catch transportation. the staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The lack of communication and coordination among the staff was evident. In one instance, the cleaning lady entered the room while the guest was still present, causing a sense of unease and discomfort.

our recent stay in puerto natales was great, but staying at hostal la base made it even better. the hostel exceeded our expectations with its clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly atmosphere. the location was perfect, making it easy for us to explore the city and catch our bus.

I had a fantastic experience at this hostel. the staff went above and beyond to assist me, despite their limited English. They were able to answer all of my questions, book tours for me, and provide assistance in any way they could. the on-site laundry facilities were incredibly convenient. the location of the hostel was perfect, as it was close to both the bus station and all of the shops. the room I rented with two twin beds was comfortable and the shelving/storage space was a helpful touch. I felt secure leaving my belongings at the hostel while I explored Torres del Paine. the staff were friendly and considerate, and I would definitely stay at this hostel again.
