We had an amazing experience at this hostel. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm, and the owner and his team were always friendly and helpful. The beautiful and spacious wooden building had a mix of old and new, giving it a unique and charming character. The cleanliness of the common areas, bathrooms, and our room was impeccable. We loved that the well-equipped kitchen had individual spaces for each room to store their food. The hotel also had a large garden, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, the staff went above and beyond by offering us free camping in the garden when we needed to wait for our Uber. this hostel exceeded our expectations and we wished more hostels were like this one.

The staff at this hostel were incredibly nice and helpful, always willing to answer any questions we had. The dorm room was spacious, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a cosy common area to relax and meet other travelers. The hostel also organized a special Christmas meal for all the guests, which made for a fantastic experience.

stayed in puerto varas before, but mapatagonia hostel exceeded my expectations. the staff was super friendly and helpful, felt like a home away from home. loved the big common areas and comfy rooms. highly recommend!

I had the most amazing stay at this lovely old house conversion just a short walk from the center and supermarkets. The dorm I stayed in was spacious, with a clean attached bathroom and good-sized lockers. The hostel had a cozy and warm atmosphere, thanks to the electric radiators and wood burner. The kitchen was superbly clean and tidy, with two fridges and a nice sitting area. The WiFi was excellent, and the owner was extremely helpful. The highlight, though, was the incredibly comfortable bed - probably the best I've slept in South America or anywhere else. The hostel was beautifully furnished and the staff were friendly. There was no breakfast, but a supermarket was within easy walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe, and I met lots of other travelers with interesting stories and suggestions for future adventures. I absolutely loved my stay, and I can't praise this place enough. I will definitely be coming back!

As a traveler exploring South America for almost 3 months, Mapatagonia was by far the best hostel we stayed in. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the beautiful old wooden house made us feel right at home. The friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Comfy beds and hot showers were a luxury, and the attention to detail, like having bedside lamps, made a big difference. The well-equipped kitchen and common areas had everything we needed. We would have loved to stay for longer if it wasn't fully booked. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff was cheerful, interesting, and easy to talk with. They were always ready to help and gave me great tips about the area. The double rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a nice view of the volcano from the upstairs desk. The common areas had a cozy atmosphere, emphasizing social interaction. The facilities were well-maintained, and there was a fireplace and sofa for relaxing. The location was convenient, just a short walk away from the town center.

The owner and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They even offered tours and gave great information about the area. The hostel was very clean and comfortable, made out of wood with a cozy fireplace in the common area. The location was convenient, close to a supermarket, bus stops, and the city center. The kitchen was well-equipped and the whole place had a nice vibe. The wifi worked well throughout my seven-day stay. this was one of the best hostels I've been to.

The facilities were top-notch, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The price-performance ratio was excellent, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.

The hostel had such a homely atmosphere, it felt like I was part of a big family right from the beginning. The common areas were cozy and inviting, with a living room and kitchen that made it easy to connect with other guests. The rooms were spacious and the warm, fluffy duvets made for a comfortable sleep. the staff were incredibly friendly and communicative, even upgrading our room to a private. The location of the hostel was perfect, close to the city center and shops, yet tucked away on a quiet side street.

While the hostel had many great qualities, I feel that for the price, breakfast should have been included. the communal area was a bit small, making it difficult to find a comfortable spot to relax and socialize.

Limited Facilities: There were not enough bathrooms in the second building where our room was located, causing inconvenience during peak times. Unpleasant Owner: The female co-owner was rude and inhospitable, refusing to let us use the computer and wrongly accusing us of something without apologizing.
