The room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a romantic getaway. We enjoyed the balcony, even though it was locked. the location was ideal, with easy access to the Bund and Hongqiao train station. the nearby metro station and shopping malls were also convenient. the buffet breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the reception area was inviting and well, designed. Our 2, year, old son loved the kids playroom.

We were disappointed that the staff didn't speak English and were not very helpful, despite the website claiming otherwise. the room had a strong smell of cigarettes, which was unpleasant.

I stayed at Mercure Shanghai for a few days and chose it for its great location and balcony, perfect for smoking. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a washing machine and multiple lifts for convenience. The hotel's entrance was impressive and the soundproofing was excellent, except for some minor disturbances on weekends. The room also had a nice bathtub and provided essential amenities like a kettle and electric burner. it was a good space for a family stay.

Secondly, the hotel was conveniently located near both the Hongqiao Airport and downtown, making it easy to explore and travel around. Additionally, I appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who were always ready to assist with any inquiries.

There were a few things that did not meet my expectations. the cleanliness of the rooms was not up to par, with stained carpets and unpleasant odors in the bathroom.
