In my experience, rarely does a 5-star hotel exceed expectations. The Waldorf Astoria truly delivers an exceptional experience. The panoramic river views are second to none. The staff goes the extra mile, like Jeffrey who graciously escorted us to the Lost Heaven restaurant in the rain and provided us with photos of their signature dishes. The hotel facilities are top-notch, from the spacious and beautifully designed rooms to the luxurious bathroom with a separate bath and rainforest shower. The location is perfect, with easy access to Nanjing Road and the city center by simply walking out of the door and crossing the road. The breakfast is amazing, and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist. When I had an issue with my coffee maker, it was quickly replaced. this hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely consider staying here again when I return to this city.

The staff went above and beyond with an early check-in, offering complimentary coffee and breakfast while we waited, and even allowing us to use the gym to freshen up. The room itself was spacious and luxurious, with a beautiful bathroom featuring a separate bath, rainforest shower, and even a TV in the mirror. our stay at this hotel was a real treat and completed our honeymoon perfectly.

The hotel's decoration was absolutely stunning, with beautiful neo-classical style and architecture reminiscent of the historic Shanghai Bund. The general areas were well maintained and exuded an elegant charm. As a senior woman, I found the hotel's accessibility to be excellent, making it easy for me to navigate and enjoy my stay.

The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is for the children of the staff to be more attentive and responsive to the needs of older guests.

I loved how the hotel beautifully blended the restored Shanghai Club with a modern tower. It was like stepping into the past and present at the same time.

Such a shame they didn't have a private yacht waiting for me. I guess a limousine transfer from the airport will have to do.

Impressed by the manager's generosity in providing two takeaway coffees for free when we only wanted coffee before a meeting. Beautiful hotel ambiance and exceptionally helpful staff. Convenient location close to the Bund, Yu Garden, and many good restaurants.

I discovered a hidden gem within the hotel - a peaceful cafe that provided a much-needed escape from the bustling crowds outside. Rachel, the accommodating hostess, went out of her way to ensure I had a perfect spot with a lovely view of the outdoor patio. The cappuccino was a bit pricey, but the quality justified the cost. Additionally, the hot lemongrass tea was soothing and delicious. it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend this cafe for a peaceful afternoon away from the crowds.

The breakfast at the Grand Brasserie was a highlight, offering a semi-buffet with a variety of options, including two different types of porridge. The location of the hotel was superb, situated on the famous Bund, providing breathtaking views of the river and Pudong skyline. The staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and memorable stay.
