the location was ideal, close to the metro and with nice restaurants and bars nearby. the staff was attentive and helpful, especially Edwin and Günther. the hostel had a nice social vibe and a rooftop area where you could meet people. They also offered tours and a Sunday barbecue. the rooms were spacious and had good storage options. the hostel had a relaxed quiet time policy from 11 PM onwards, which was perfect for a good night's sleep. it was my favorite hostel in Medellin.

Fast WiFi in all areas of the hostel was a lifesaver for a digital nomad like me. It connected faster than a cheetah chasing its prey, allowing me to work seamlessly and stay connected to the world. No stressful loading times or pesky buffering issues, just smooth sailing in the virtual realm.

I stayed at the Sugar Cane Hostel for a week while exploring the city. The hostel had a massive kitchen with excellent breakfast options and a well-stocked fridge. The cleanliness of the hostel was outstanding, and I enjoyed the mix of people partying and chilling in the nearby bars. The staff provided wonderful service and helpful information. I extended my stay here by 2 nights, thanks to the comfortable private room and the availability of clean showers and bathrooms. The location was convenient, with just a short walk to the nearest station and a modern supermarket. The hostel also offered great tours, including the amazing Guatape tour. a fantastic experience for backpackers.

I had an amazing stay at Sugar Cane Hostel! the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and they really took care of the property and guests. Gunter, the owner, was fabulous and had lots of useful advice about Medellin and Colombia. the kitchen was nice and big, making cooking easy, and I loved that I could use the ingredients for breakfast. the hostel also had a great social atmosphere, with a patio area where everyone could hang out. a 10/10 experience!

I absolutely loved the charming and cozy atmosphere of The Sugar Cane Hostel. The decoration was tasteful and reminded me of the traditional Colombian style. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for seniors like me to move around. The hostel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and the metro station. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay.

If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be for the staff to provide more assistance and guidance specifically tailored to our needs. Sometimes, the children working there seemed busy and overwhelmed, and I believe a bit more attention to detail and personal attention would greatly enhance the experience for senior travelers.

The rooms were comfortable, and the security was top-notch with a buzz-in door and no entry allowed for non-guests after 11 pm. The free breakfast was unlimited and offered a variety of options like fruit, eggs, cereals, coffee, and tea.

The beds were comfortable and had convenient plugs for charging our devices. The location was great, close to the metro and a large supermarket. We also enjoyed using the nice kitchen facilities to cook our own meals.

The room we stayed in had an odd window that faced into someone's dining area, which felt invasive for both parties. The noise from the neighbors woke us up early in the morning, which was quite frustrating.

The hostel had a great social atmosphere, making it easy to meet new people and make friends. the big table on the rooftop was perfect for socializing. the unlimited eggs for breakfast and the honesty fridge were two nice perks. the pillows were extremely comfortable.

The amount of cigarette smoke on the terrace. the noise levels at night were quite high, despite it not being a party hostel.
