The location of this hotel was fantastic - it was close to the beach and also within walking distance to the town. The surrounding area was beautiful, with lush plants and a serene atmosphere. One of the best aspects of this hotel was the breakfast - it was absolutely delicious and one of the best meals we had during our trip. The pool area was also very nice, and we enjoyed spending time there, especially with the lovely view of the garden.

The bed in our room was quite uncomfortable. We could feel the springs poking through, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The owner, Alex, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time, providing tours and recommendations that added an extra touch to our vacation. The wildlife on the grounds was mind-blowing! Sloths, frogs, lizards, and more! The restaurant was super, with exceptional service from our waiter Conrad. The breakfast changed daily and was very good. The snorkel tour booked at the front desk was well worth it and affordable. The hike through Cahuita national park is a must. The location was good, just a short walk from Cahuita but away from the noise. The staff were warm, helpful, and had a good sense of humor. The owner, Alex, was the best, so friendly, helpful. this place is amazing, a small piece of paradise. Highly recommended!

The nearby black-sanded beach, Playa Negra, was absolutely breathtaking. We spent hours snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters and exploring the vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. It was like swimming in a real-life aquarium! The kids were fascinated by the colorful fish and the opportunity to see turtles up close. We highly recommend spending a day at Playa Negra for an unforgettable family adventure.

For dads, it would be great to have a designated children's play area within the hotel premises.

We loved our stay at El Encanto! The resort is like a tropical heaven, with gorgeous gardens and lots of wildlife. The individual huts in the private compound were secure and the staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast was fabulous with homemade everything, and the showers were the best we've had in Central America. The location was perfect, secluded yet still an easy walk to town, the national park, and the beaches. The pools were lovely, and we even saw a sloth, toucan, iguanas, red squirrels, and colorful frogs in the garden!

The location of this hotel was perfect for our Easter getaway. It was conveniently located near the town center and the beautiful national park and beaches. We felt safe walking around day and night. The hotel had a nice little pool where we relaxed in the afternoons. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the ceiling fans kept us cool during the hot and humid weather. The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh fruit, toast, and a choice of pancakes or eggs. Tea and coffee were available all day, which was a nice touch.

There were a few minor issues during our stay. The parking lot was small and inconvenient, especially when the hotel was fully booked.
