We definitely got our money's worth at Rancho Cerro Azul. The bungalow was clean, beautiful and secluded, with a large shower and comfortable bed. The location was perfect, close to the waterfall and rainforest tour, yet away from the touristy downtown area. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, answering all our questions and helping us with tour reservations. The hotel also offered transportation to Arenal Volcanic Park at a cheaper rate than taxis. The serene and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery, was exactly what we needed. a fantastic experience.

The breakfast experience could have been improved with more variety. Although it was tasty, after a few days, it did become a bit ordinary.

This hotel is a hidden gem just outside of town. The cabins are cozy and private, surrounded by lush tropical plants and flowers. The large terrace offers a beautiful view of the garden, where you can spot hummingbirds darting around. The rooms are well-maintained, with either twin beds or a comfortable king bed. The breakfast options are varied and included in the price, making it a great value for money.

I had a fantastic stay in a hotel surrounded by lush greenery, hummingbirds, and horses grazing outside. The rooms were spacious, with air conditioning, a fan, and a fridge to keep my drinks cold. The large terrace overlooking the beautiful garden was my favorite spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The included breakfast had several options to choose from, and it was delicious.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and super clean. The balconies made us feel like we were in a treehouse in the rainforest. The location was perfect, as it was very close to La Fortuna waterfall, a large river with different paths to explore, and an amazing restaurant called Chante Verde. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast served every morning was good and filling. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect - just a 2-minute drive to downtown. The cleanliness of the hotel grounds was impressive, with beautifully landscaped gardens. The staff, who also happen to be the friendly and helpful owners, made me feel right at home. They served a delicious breakfast every morning with a choice of Costa Rican or American-style dishes, and it was definitely worth the $7. The hotel facilities were great, including reliable wifi and a working AC. I particularly loved the patio with a table, chairs, and a hammock, where I could relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the afternoon rain showers. The hotel also offered security all night and had horses on the property as well as a river that provided a stunning backdrop.

As business travelers, we loved the convenient and secluded location of Rancho Cerro Azul. The family-owned hotel made us feel like part of their family. Alonso and Roy were incredible hosts, taking care of all our needs. The cabins were cozy and the setting felt like a romantic retreat. The breakfast and dinners at Gingers restaurant were delicious, and the in-cabin massage/facial/body-wrap was a spa-like experience. The hotel even had a trail for a night tour to see wild animals. We would definitely stay here again!

Our deluxe king room at Ranch Azul Cerro was a tranquil paradise overlooking lush gardens and horses grazing. The hammock on the deck provided the perfect spot to relax and listen to the distant river. The small kitchenette was a great convenience. Overall I highly recommend it.

Lovely fauna & cute cabin

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming cabin! The pictures truly reflected the cozy and delightful atmosphere. The front and back porches with the hammock were perfect for relaxation. Although we initially had trouble with hot water, my resourceful husband was able to fix it by tripping the electric switch. The breakfast was delicious, especially the amazing coffee. Having a fridge and coffee pot in the cabin was very convenient. The satellite TV worked well and the location near town but away from the noise was ideal. We only stayed for two nights, but we wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds. we highly recommend this cabin for a wonderful and peaceful stay.
