We got great value for our money with an excellent room and breathtaking views. The staff at Tropico were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.

The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, maybe adding a few more options.

The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is close to everything you need in town. It is only a short distance from the center, making it convenient to explore the area. The hotel is situated right across the hills, providing stunning views of the Nicoya Peninsula. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a true king-size bed. The bathrooms are clean and the showers have good water pressure. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service.

The restaurant at the hotel is separate and not very welcoming, so there is no common area to relax in besides your room.

This hotel is a must visit! The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, just like family. The attention to detail throughout the entire property is impressive. I loved the amazing views of the mountains and the fantastic wooden furniture in the rooms. The breakfast with fresh fruit was lovely too!

The views from Tropico were breathtaking, especially during sunset. I enjoyed having dinner at the on-site restaurant, the food was delicious. I also appreciated the warm welcome from the owner, Jose. I would recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at Trópico in Monteverde and had an absolutely incredible experience. The owner, José, was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He arranged excursions and tours, including a guided birding experience at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The bungalows were spacious and comfortable, with stunning views of the valleys and mountains extending to the Golfo de Nicoya. The hotel also had high-speed WiFi throughout and we felt very safe during our stay. Trópico exceeded all of our expectations and I highly recommend it for a fantastic vacation in Monteverde.

We stayed at a hotel in Monteverde for two nights and we loved the stunning views of the sunset. the owners were friendly and welcoming and offered us fresh fruit as a welcome gift. the hotel is located slightly outside of the town but it didn't bother us much. We took a taxi to go to the restaurants nearby which cost us around $5. We enjoyed the peaceful location of the hotel. On-site restaurant and bar were great facilities that we liked a lot.

We had to walk a long and winding path to explore the town, which was a bit tiresome. the walking path was quite windy which made it difficult to walk.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, with everything looking brand new. The hotel facilities were top-notch, from the luxurious bedding to the beautiful wood decks. The location of the hotel was perfect for the personalized activities I wanted to participate in, with stunning views from the grounds. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great connections for things to do in the local area. And let's not forget the breakfast - delicious and made to order!
