I stayed at Uran for a 2-day hike to Cerro Chirripo, and it was the perfect starting point. The breakfast, included in the price, was fantastic - a plate of pinto, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. They even served breakfast as early as 4.30am, so we could begin hiking at 5am. The free parking lot was a huge plus, providing plenty of space. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff's lack of friendliness towards non-fluent Spanish speakers can be off-putting.

The location of the hotel was great, it was in close proximity to the hiking trails. the parking situation was secure and we felt safe leaving our car there. the wifi connection was also good, which was a bonus for us.

First, the water in the showers was not hot, which was a disappointment after a long day of hiking. the fridges in the rooms were extremely loud, so we had to turn them off just to get some peace and quiet.

The hotel is conveniently located near the starting point of Chirripo hike, allowing easy access for hikers. It offers secure parking and the surrounding nature is quiet and beautiful. The rooms are simple but of good size, with comfortable beds and warm showers. the hotel provides useful facilities such as a renting service for sleeping bags and gas stoves, and offers reasonable prices for both lodging and meals.

The hotel lacks adequate hooks or racks in the rooms, making it inconvenient for guests to hang their belongings.
