I stayed at Uran for a 2-day hike to Cerro Chirripo, and it was the perfect starting point. The breakfast, included in the price, was fantastic - a plate of pinto, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. They even served breakfast as early as 4.30am, so we could begin hiking at 5am. The free parking lot was a huge plus, providing plenty of space. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant serves delicious and filling meals, perfect for fueling up before or recovering after your hike. Plus, the friendly owners are always ready to offer advice and assistance.

The staff's lack of friendliness towards non-fluent Spanish speakers can be off-putting.

The location of the hotel was great, it was in close proximity to the hiking trails. The parking situation was secure and we felt safe leaving our car there. The wifi connection was also good, which was a bonus for us.
