We had a wonderful stay at a delightful spot on a hilltop surrounded by jungle. Lodge Margouillat provided a quiet and peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful naturally heated swimming pool. The decor was lovely and the comfort level was perfect. We truly enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay surrounded by nature and tranquility. The location was beautiful, with stunning views of the mountainside and the chance to see monkeys during breakfast. The hotel facilities were comfortable and well-maintained, including two pools and a private terrace. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. The staff, especially Thomas, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, providing excellent assistance with transportation and recommendations. The breakfast provided was delicious, with a variety of options including eggs, bacon, bread.

We booked one night and ended up staying 4 nights because we just loved this place - to start with the most friendly host Tomas and his parents who were all extremely kind and helpful. The location is a bit remote, but we really enjoyed being in the middle of the jungle, watching howler monkeys from the pool, and seeing red macaws flying by. Also, the close-by village Panica has a little pulperia with everything you need. The room was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed and more - even a fan for the patio outside and a little woodfire-grill for a BBQ. The two pools are both very clean and surrounded by lush tropical plants with great views. If you are looking for a relaxing paradise, here it is.

I recently stayed at a charming jungle lodge nestled in the heart of nature. The location was perfect, surrounded by lush rainforest and teeming with wildlife. At night, I was treated to the mesmerizing sounds of animals right outside my room, like howler monkeys and a Motmot. The room itself was immaculate, with attention to detail in every corner. The service provided by the owner and staff was exceptional, as they were knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast served was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The lodge also had two pristine pools and beautiful landscaping, creating a serene atmosphere.

My only minor complaint would be the limited dinner options on-site, but this was easily resolved by driving to nearby restaurants.

They provided us with useful local knowledge and even helped us with ordering food delivery. The lodge itself was well-maintained, with clean rooms and beautiful grounds. The highlight was definitely the stunning view from our villa, where we felt like we were sleeping among the treetops. We were lucky enough to see monkeys and other wildlife right from our room and shower. The breakfasts were delicious, and the entire place had a peaceful and private atmosphere. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Had the BEST Christmas at this place! The owners were really friendly and made us feel at home. We got two complementary drinks at check-in which were a great start to our holiday. The location was really convenient - close enough to the beach to go during the day and come back to a quiet and peaceful environment at night. loved having a private pool to relax in. Didn't want to leave!

The breakfast spread was delicious, with fresh fruits, bread, and optional eggs. The two swimming pools surrounded by tropical vegetation were pure bliss. Thomas, our host, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from organizing drivers to giving us valuable advice. The location was perfect, secluded in nature yet just a short drive to town. We even explored a fishing village and a surfing village with Francisco, creating unforgettable memories. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had all the modern amenities we could ask for. Thomas made us feel right at home, and we slept wonderfully each night. We can't wait to return to this magical place.
