I had a fantastic experience staying at Sabalo Lodge. the cabin I stayed in was comfortable and had all the necessary facilities. the owners, Philippe and his wife, were very helpful and made delicious local dishes using fresh, local ingredients. the highlight of my stay was going on a night shrimp hunting excursion in the river, surrounded by the jungle. the lodge offers a variety of tours, including visits to Cona's Island and exploring the mangrove forests. the peaceful ambiance, beautiful garden, and abundance of wildlife added to the overall charm of the place. Having WiFi available was also a plus, especially for those with teenagers.

Located in the middle of the Mangroves, it provided a tranquil and beautiful setting. the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was taken care of. They were multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and French. the kitchen was excellent, with delicious breakfast options. the lodge also offered a memorable Mangrove tour, where we saw an abundance of wildlife. the proximity to Corcovado National Park was a major plus for us. We highly recommend Sabalo Lodge for a unique and unforgettable experience.

We had an incredible time at Sabalo Lodge. the lodge itself is in a stunning location, surrounded by lush jungle and close to the mangroves. the house they provided for us was absolutely fabulous, with its own equipped kitchen and comfortable accommodations for a group of 4 or 5. the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the meals included were delicious, made with fresh local produce. We enjoyed a variety of activities, including horseback riding, mangrove tours, and hiking. the lodge's isolation added to the peaceful and serene atmosphere. We highly recommend Sabalo Lodge and would definitely stay here again.

The secluded location was perfect for our romantic escape. Surrounded by nature, we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the kayaking in the mangrove forests and the hike to the waterfall. The food was also a highlight - delicious and made with locally sourced ingredients. The cozy cabins provided a comfortable and intimate setting for our getaway.

The rough road leading to the property was a bit of a challenge. It would have been helpful to have clearer directions or a more reliable transportation option.

We had an amazing stay! The lodge was beautiful, surrounded by lush rainforest with plenty of wildlife to see. The owner, Andre, was friendly and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable. The cabins were clean and comfortable, offering plenty of privacy. The food provided was delicious and varied. The property had a natural pool and tropical plants, creating a serene atmosphere. We loved the guided tours and hikes to waterfalls, where we saw birds, monkeys, and even crocodiles. The WiFi was strong and reliable.

The remote location in the forest provides a true rainforest experience. Bumpy roads add adventure. Clear directions, great views, and no problems finding the lodge. Lovely compound, private lodgings, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Outstanding food, delicious and beautifully presented. Natural pool by the river. Mangrove tour offered great views of birds and wildlife. Warm and helpful hosts, Anuk and Kevin. Great base for trips to Corcovado and nearby tours.

Felt completely relaxed, no complaints.
