The hiking trails around the lodge are fantastic for exploring nature. The room was quite dark and made it hard to plan our travels. Enjoyed happy hour at the bar with great views.

The stunning gardens, the attentive bar staff, the availability of great dining options was simply exceptional.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, offering helpful tips for local tours and activities.

The room felt quite chilly at night, and while we requested a heater, there was a lack of adjustable thermostats to suit our comfort needs.

I loved exploring the nearby Monteverde Cloud Forest, which was only a short walk away. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring fresh fruit and multiple options like a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast. My room offered a stunning view over the forest, making each morning feel like a dream. I also appreciated the well-maintained facilities, as the staff was diligent about keeping the grounds tidy. Overall, it was a peaceful retreat immersed in nature.

Had an absolute jol at this lodge! Views from our room were breath-taking, seriously. Also spotted a Coati playing in the trees – such a lekker surprise! The staff were chommies, super helpful and made us feel at home. The bar where we enjoyed a sundowner was a cool hangout too.

Just a bit noisy – could hear other guests' conversations through the thin walls. Eina!

Had a nice couple of nights here. The breakfast was good and had a buffet style but the highlight was really the staff who went out of their way to help us with everything. Also, the view from the large bay window in our room was incredibly beautiful, you could see the trees swaying in the wind which made mornings pretty special.

It was not exactly a bargain but worth the experience.

We needed extra blankets, and I wished there was coffee in the room. Still, the views were fantastic, and getting to wake up surrounded by nature was a highlight.

The lodge is a fantastic base for exploring the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Our family loved the early bird watching tour, and we found the rooms spacious with lovely wooden decor. The trails are great for hiking, and the staff was incredibly friendly, offered us great tips on local activities.

Had a lovely stay, but couldn't find a corner to lounge other than one picnic table—talk about crowded! Also, the mountain winds could easily turn me into a cold popsicle at night!

It was just a balanced option for a weekend escape in Monteverde with good value. Enjoyed a quiet evening sipping cocktails by the bar, which had decent drink options despite a lack of cozy seating. Make sure to bring warm clothes as it can get quite chilly at night.
