The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any needs we had. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants, corner shops, and bars close by. We also enjoyed the small but satisfactory breakfast offered.

The beds were uncomfortable, either too hard or saggy, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the tapware in the bathrooms was old and could have used some updating.

The breakfast menu at Island Life was diverse, especially with a great selection of coffee. We appreciated the quality of the food and drinks. The volunteer staff was also welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. We enjoyed our stay overall.

The location of the hostel is perfect, situated in the historic center and within walking distance of the main attractions. It is also very close to many tourist attractions and nice restaurants.

The location was perfect, right in the center of the colonial zone and close to all the major sightseeing attractions. Additionally, the breakfast options were great, and the staff was always available to help with any questions or recommendations.

This hotel is a great find! The value for money is unbeatable - prices are affordable and include breakfast. The location is perfect, right above the open common area and close to almost everything in the city. The staff is attentive and friendly and basic amenities like a huge comfy sofa in the room and a fan for the hot nights make for a comfortable stay.

Great location close to everything, including public transportation. the hostel is beautifully decorated and sparkling clean. the breakfast was more than okay, inclusive of two complimentary facts that made it enjoyable.

The accommodation lacked cold water, which was necessary considering the extreme heat in the area. the rooms were uncomfortably hot at night due to the absence of air conditioning.

I had an amazing stay at this fabulous hostel in the heart of Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone. The location couldn't have been better, with shops, bars, and restaurants just a short walk away. The hostel itself has a lovely atmosphere and is equipped with everything you need. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The breakfast included in the price was delicious and had a great variety of options. I also enjoyed the evening meal for a very reasonable price. The dorm bed was super comfy and had all the necessary amenities like a fan and power socket. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The hostel even had a pool table, darts board, and 90s video games machine for entertainment. I also loved the outdoor kitchen and the book exchange corner. The dogs at the hostel were adorable, especially if you're a dog lover like me. this was one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in and I highly recommend it for a fantastic stay in Santo Domingo.

We had a truly memorable experience at Island Life! The hostel's colonial building was stunning, with a jacuzzi that added a touch of luxury. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful, and considerate, making our stay even more enjoyable. And of course, we can't forget to mention the adorable dogs that made us feel right at home!
