We had an amazing time at Hotel Ancora! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a sense of joy. the hotel's dining room, bar, pool, and mini library were all fantastic amenities. the artistic and antique decor throughout the hotel added to its charm and creativity. We loved the peacefulness of the brick paths leading to the rooms, as well as the pretty gardens and seating areas. the owner even arranged a trip to Isla de la Plata for us and offered scuba diving excursions. Plus, the hotel's location just half a block from the Malecon and the beach made it convenient to explore Puerto Lopez. We can't wait to go back!

We had a relaxing week at this hotel with our two small kids. The ambience of the property created a cozy atmosphere, and the pool was excellent for the whole family to enjoy. The restaurant offered exciting menu options prepared beautifully, and the staff and owners were always polite and smiling.

The noise from the streets on weekend nights was a bit disruptive at times.

The noise outside the hotel can be quite constant and disruptive, with dogs barking and loud music playing until late at night.

The pool and landscaped gardens were a pleasant surprise, especially in this part of the world. The breakfast was great, and the coffee was delicious. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the main area, providing a quiet and peaceful environment.

The shower curtain could be a bit annoying as it kept getting in the way while showering. However, this was just a minor inconvenience and didn't really affect the overall experience.

Our room, although small, was functional and had a balcony overlooking the lively street. the air conditioning worked well and the room was spotless. the included breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of choices and excellent coffee. We also had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant, where Javier's presentation of the paella was outstanding. the staff, especially Maria who spoke English fluently, were friendly and helpful. the hotel also had a great pool and a selection of craft beers, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.

I was especially impressed with their selection of craft beer. the skilled masseuse helped me relax and feel rejuvenated after several days of riding. the quaint sitting courtyard with the pool and jacuzzi created a peaceful atmosphere, and the secure feeling of the property added to my sense of safety. the location was also perfect, just a short walk from the Malecon and beach area. the included breakfast and delightful lunch and dinners exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel for a serene and comfortable getaway.
