the location is amazing, with a quiet green island and ancient ruins to explore. the ferry was easy to navigate and ran from early morning to late evening. the house itself was new and well-furnished, with spacious rooms and a kitchen. the owners and their team provided excellent individual care, always available to help but never intrusive. the room was clean and spacious, with a great view of the river. the linens and towels were clean, and the hot water supply was ample. the Wi-Fi connection was also perfect. the guesthouse offered fantastic trips to Abu-Simbel and Philae temple, with skilled and safe drivers. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout our stay. the kitchen was delicious, and we highly recommend trying the fish or meat dinner on the rooftop. the guesthouse also offered boat trips, which allowed us to explore the botanical garden and enjoy the beautiful riverbanks.

He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant, even arranging transportation for us. The hotel itself was fantastic, with excellent wifi, a nice breakfast, and a private boat service for check in and check out. The rooms were spacious, sparkling clean, and had everything we needed, including a kitchen. The hotel's location overlooking the Nile provided a peaceful and beautiful view. the hospitality, food, and value at Basmatic Nubian Hotel were outstanding.

As an American traveler, I had a wonderful experience at the newly constructed Basmatic Nubian Guesthouse in Elephantine Island. The guesthouse offers amenities that are not usually found in Egyptian guesthouses within this price range, such as quality sheets, plush pillows, closets, and a full size bathroom mirror. The well-equipped kitchen and full size refrigerator were perfect for my extended stay. However, the real highlight of this place is the caring and hospitable family who built and operates it. Mohamed and Mustafa, the Nubian brothers, made me feel like family during my four-week stay. They provided exceptional service and were excellent tourist guides, making my visit even more memorable.
