As a traveler visiting Giza for the pyramids, I had a fantastic stay at Horus Guest House. The hotel staff was professional and friendly, providing excellent service. I appreciated not having to carry my luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace, with a breathtaking view of the pyramids, was delicious and offered a variety of local and international options. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep in the quieter street. The location was convenient, with shops and bars nearby. a great experience and better service than most 5* hotels.

The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking. Being able to see the pyramids up close was an unforgettable experience. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful, and made me feel like part of the family. I was truly impressed by their hospitality.

One downside was the size of the bathrooms. They were quite small and it was difficult to move around, especially in the shower.

Mohamed, our contact, was exceptional in his responsiveness and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. He gave us helpful insights into available tours without any pressure to book. We were also grateful for his flexibility in allowing us to check out late without any extra charges. Mohamed's generosity extended to allowing a previous guest to use the WiFi when their current accommodation had weak signal, showcasing a true sense of hospitality. As solo female travelers, we felt completely safe and at home thanks to Mohamed's welcoming demeanor. The availability of unlimited juice boxes and water bottles was a pleasant bonus. Lastly, the sunset view from our room and balcony was simply breathtaking.

While there were some negative experiences mentioned in the database reviews, we were fortunate to not encounter any similar issues during our stay.

Spent Christmas at an amazing hotel near the pyramids. The staff was exceptional, always going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even organized a surprise birthday cake for my son! The rooftop view of the pyramids was absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed sipping a cold beer while taking in the magnificent sight. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the pyramid garden area, so we didn't need to book any tours. It was so convenient!

Although our experience was overall positive, there were a few downsides. The shower in our bathroom didn't have a proper tray, so water ended up splashing all over the floor.
