The value for money at Hostal Dona Mercedes was excellent, and the room was comfortable and cozy. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the center and bus stop, and the staff treated us with kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast offerings better was if there were more vegetarian options available.

Additionally, I loved the cozy garden and indoor spaces where I could relax and hang out.

While my stay at the hostel was overall pleasant, there were a few downsides. the dorm room facing the street was quite noisy, which could be bothersome for light sleepers.

De locatie was absoluut perfect, midden in het hart van de oude wijk, direct aan het kanaal en naast de gracht. Het was geweldig om zo dichtbij de Grote Kerk en het Stadhuis te zijn. Het ontbijt was natuurlijk geweldig, met heerlijke verse broodjes en een gevarieerde selectie. We hebben echt genoten van het ontbijten op het terrasje aan de gracht, het was een feestje op zich. Het hotel was natuurlijk erg schoon en had alle faciliteiten die we nodig hadden. De gastheer was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat ons verblijf nog aangenamer maakte.

The bunk bed and double bed in the tiny bedroom made it impossible to walk or put our luggage anywhere. The kitchen couldn't be used by guests, which was a major inconvenience.

We had a great stay at this cozy guesthouse in a fantastic location. the courtyard provided a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy our breakfast. the kitchen was a huge plus and we made good use of it. the hospitality of one of the hosts was exceptional - she was friendly, offered tips and advice, and even created a hotspot for us when we needed internet.

the family running the place were incredibly accommodating, even though the wife didn't speak English. the husband, on the other hand, spoke fluent English and we had a wonderful conversation in the evening. the room was comfortable with bunk beds, and the courtyard was a great place to relax or enjoy breakfast. the bathroom was clean with good water pressure and hot water. the wifi signal was strong throughout the property, and the location was perfect - just a short walk to the main square and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. it was an excellent value for money and I wish I had booked for more than one night.
