We had a wonderful stay at Auberge De La Luzerne in Bernieres-sur-Mer. As hikers exploring the D-Day beaches, the location was perfect, with a walkable beachfront promenade and a large supermarket nearby. The accommodation itself was elegant and comfortable, with spacious rooms and a modern bathroom. The historic stone building and beautiful gardens added to the charm. The heated swimming pool was a bonus, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant, which offered reasonably priced options.

I had a lovely, albeit brief, stay by the Normandy coast. The large room was wonderfully decorated and had a comfortable bed. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff were friendly. I particularly enjoyed the indoor heated swimming pool and outdoor terrace areas. Despite the minor inconveniences of the unfinished appearance and lack of staff, I can see that with a few adjustments, this hotel has the potential to be perfect in a few months. I would highly recommend Auberge De La Luzerne for a pleasant stay on the Normandy coast.

Fantastic historical building with beautiful gardens. Beds are comfortable and modern bathrooms are a plus. the pool is a great addition.

No tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast was simply not to standard. No restaurants or cafes within walking distance to the hotel, and the area is somewhat isolated.

The hotel offers great value for money and attention to detail. The rooms are well-designed, with comfortable beds and basic amenities. It's especially suitable for families with older children, as the rooms have two single beds with bedside shelves. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was elegant and very comfortable, with a spacious layout and a beautifully furnished queen size double bed. The hotel is set in scenic grounds with a large, well-tended garden and off-street parking is plentiful. The location was ideal for us as hikers, with easy access to the D Day beaches and historic sites. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a bus stop close by for exploring the surrounding area. The staff were exceptional, providing gracious and responsive service. The heated pool was a lovely amenity and a great way to relax.
