The value for money at La Ferriere was incredible, with a delicious three-course dinner cooked by a talented chef for only €23. The room was comfortable and the staff spoke good English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel's location and beautiful grounds were the cherry on top.

The breakfast menu could have been improved by adding a shower curtain in the bathroom to prevent water from flooding the floor.

As a returning guest after 36 years, Hotel La Ferriere was just as charming as I remembered. The staff cooked us a fantastic meal despite being the only guests at the time. The 16th century manor, with its beautiful grounds, also makes for a stunning wedding venue. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and the separate dressing room in the attached tower was a delightful bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed walks and relaxation in the peaceful surroundings, and the staff's friendliness and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely return to this beautiful property.

I had a fantastic solo stay at a charming, quirky hotel with a lovely conservatory restaurant. The evening dinner was excellent and great value for money. The chef really knows his stuff! The comfortable bedroom and modern bathroom were more than acceptable. The hotel's old, dated features and the need for refurbishment gave it a certain appeal and character. The bar, although in need of renovation, had a unique and appealing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, spoke English well, and provided brilliant service. The hotel had good WiFi throughout, ample parking, and attractive grounds to explore. a great stop-over on my way to Bordeaux!

Felt like a VIP, no complaints at all.
