It was so convenient to have the beach just steps away from our room. The bed in our room was also incredibly comfortable, which was a relief for me and my bad back. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even though I struggled with my limited French skills. Despite some minor inconveniences, like the separate shower and toilet on different floors without a sink, the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Hotel & Cantine De La Plage for a solid bargain choice in Les Sables-d'Olonne.

The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect - right on the beach! I loved being able to step outside and have the ocean just steps away. the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, despite the language barrier. They were always willing to help and made me feel welcome.

One of the main downsides was the lack of parking. It was quite inconvenient to have to park 10 minutes away and trek back to the hotel with my luggage.

There was no parking available, which can be inconvenient on a busy weekend. The Wi-Fi connection wasn't good, with the only available connection in the lobby and that too was poor. It would be better if the Wi-Fi can be improved as it is essential for international travellers. However, despite these small issues, it's a good, low-cost option, for a city break that we'd definitely recommend.
