The location wasn't close to the main attractions, which made for a bit of a journey to get to the city centre. the surrounding area seemed somewhat dubious and we didn't feel comfortable walking around at night.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Best Western in Lille. The hotel had a charming Renaissance-style restaurant and the whole place felt like a working museum. The secure on-site parking for motorcycles was a great feature. The single rooms, although small, were very clean and comfortable. The interior and rooms were beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was top-notch. I will definitely recommend this hotel.
