We had a fantastic stay at Black Forest Hostel in Freiburg. the EPIC common room was a highlight, with high ceilings, a small oasis of plants, and plenty of activities like a ping-pong table. the staff were friendly and the showers were powerful. the location was convenient, with a terraced vineyard providing a beautiful view from our room.

Great location near the old city and hiking trails with amazing views. It was so convenient to explore the city and go on adventurous hikes. the kitchen and common area were fantastic with comfortable couches, a hammock, and even a piano. the staff were welcoming and went out of their way to ensure everyone felt safe and respected by other guests.

The large dorm room was not ideal for a good night's sleep as it was quite noisy due to the creaky floors. there was a business nearby that created a lot of noise early in the morning and throughout the day.
