We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The rooms were elegantly decorated with beautiful wallpaper, giving them a sense of history and charm. The beds were firm and comfortable, and we enjoyed restful nights under the lightweight goose down duvet and pillows. The bathrooms were modern and spacious, with a separate rainhead shower and toilet. We appreciated the provided toiletries and the abundance of cupboard space. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and quickly learned our breakfast preferences, delivering our meals to our table without us even having to ask. The hotel's location in the center of town was perfect for exploring all that this historical place has to offer.

The bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. the location was also great as it was close to many restaurants and shops to explore during our romantic getaway.

The air conditioning was not working properly, making it quite stuffy and uncomfortable during the hotter weather. the staff seemed a bit uninterested in helping us when we had questions about the area or wanted recommendations for activities to do.

The double room I had was incredibly spacious, with a large entry hall, closets, and a huge bathroom with a luxurious shower and tub. The bedroom was equally impressive, with a comfortable king bed, first-class furnishings, and high ceilings throughout. The staff were pleasant and efficient, and the hotel had a characterful and individual feel. The location was unbeatable, right in the center of the city with easy access to all the main attractions. a great value and highly recommended.

Detmold itself is a nice town with beautiful old buildings.
