I recently stayed at the Ibis Budget in Frechen and it was exactly what I expected from the budget chain. The hotel was clean and well presented, with comfortable beds. Even during a hot spell in July, the air conditioning kept the room at a pleasant temperature. The location in a commercial area was great for those doing business in the area or needing easy access to the autobahn. Additionally, it was just a short drive to the center of Koeln. The free on-site parking was a bonus, and I appreciated that dogs were welcomed.
