Some of the staff were not as helpful as we had hoped. When we requested to stay in the same room for another night, we were given the run-around and had to deal with a bit of unfriendliness.

This hotel is right in the center of the city, with a beautiful old building opposite the Kornmarkt. The location is perfect as it is near the main shopping area of the city, and most sites can be reached by taking a short walk. The rooms are comfortable and come with great amenities such as nice Roman-style pictures on the wall and the best hairdryer I came across all holiday.

While some items ran out later in the morning, there were still plenty of choices available.

Trier has so much history, I had to hire a personal tour guide just to keep up! The beds were like sleeping on clouds and I was so pampered with coffee, tea, and water in the lobby.

I mean, who needs air conditioning? I enjoyed sweating it out in my room all night.
