My wife and I recently stayed at the charming monastery in the beautiful area of Chiemsee. It was a wonderful base for exploring the nearby attractions, such as King Ludwig's Palace on Herrenchiemsee Island and even taking a day trip to Salzburg. The grounds of the monastery were stunning and walking around the lake was truly relaxing. Despite the somewhat spartan rooms, the unique location more than made up for it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast, although lacking an eggs section, was very good. it was a truly memorable and tranquil retreat.

The hotel's location is a bit isolated, without a restaurant on-site. Though there is a restaurant in a nearby village, reaching it can be a bit far and difficult in the dark after having a few drinks.

The hotel is situated in a peaceful and serene environment surrounded by beautiful nature views. the breakfast was satisfying, with multiple choices of delicious foods and beverages to enjoy.

The absence of a restaurant on-site for dinner, as the nearest options were a bit of a walk away and sometimes closed unexpectedly. Another inconvenience was the abundance of mosquitoes in the area, which required constant use of insect repellent throughout the day and night.
