The hostel was cozy and located in the heart of the old town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The living hall was a great place to meet people, and the kitchen was well-equipped. I also enjoyed the convenience of having my own room key and a locker key for valuables.

The wifi was unstable, which was a bit frustrating. if you are a light sleeper, you might be bothered by the noise from the street at night.

I recently stayed at Lotte Hostel in Heidelberg for two nights and it was the best hostel experience I've ever had. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, making me feel like I was staying at a close friend's home. The common dining room was a highlight, with its cool atmosphere, interesting books, and unique artwork on the walls. I loved that they had board games and card games available to play, and the complimentary breakfast of cereals, oats, and milk was a great start to the day. The free beers in the fridge, without name tags, were a nice touch. I also appreciated the separate bathroom for ladies. The rooms and beds were cozy and clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. Plus, the fact that we didn't have to do the dishes was a bonus!

This super cute hostel is far and away in a class of its own here in Germany. I stayed in one of the oldest houses in the city, directly below the castle. The location is right in the middle of the old part of Heidelberg.

Who needs free breakfast anyway? Not me! I'm perfectly content with the numerous restaurants and cafés serving a variety of cuisine nearby.

The value for our money was excellent and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to all the restaurants and shops but still quiet. The staff treated us like family and Carmen, in particular, was incredibly welcoming and helpful.
