We stayed at a motel in Castrop Rauxel that had multiple rooms with a kitchen, which was perfect for our family. It was conveniently located midway on our journey from Calais to Poland. the kitchen had a fridge and freezer, allowing us to refreeze our ice packs and keep our drinks and sandwiches cold for the road. We also appreciated the nearby supermarket for any additional needs. the motel was clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed having table and chairs outside for evening relaxation. Though it could get a bit stuffy during exceptionally hot weather, it wasn't a problem on our return visit. the staff were friendly and easy to contact.
