i had a lovely short break at amatique bay, surpassing my previous stay in puerto barrios. the pool area was one of the nicest i’ve seen, with plenty for kids to enjoy. the room was spacious and cool, creating a comfortable environment for relaxation.

the staff at reception struggled with english.

amatique bay has beautiful, well-kept grounds and a nice pool area that we really enjoyed. it was also conveniently located close to the port for our early morning departure. the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even better.

My stay was frustrating from the start. The room had plumbing issues. the sink barely drained and the water was brown. To top it all off, the phone in the room didn’t work, leaving us unable to order food or request help. The pool area was poorly maintained, with debris floating around and staff who didn't seem to care about cleanliness. I expected much better for the price I paid.

my stay was defintely not what i expected. the pool was absoulutely dirty, and the staff serving drinks were unhygenic, sticking their hands in the ice. Not a single person offered to fix these issues, let alone provide compensation or an upgrade. such a lack of basic customer service. i really almost gave a good review, but i just coudn't.

I gotta say, the villa we stayed in was HUGE! ! It had four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and even our own private pool! The kids just loved splashing around while we relaxed in the sun. We were worried about everything because we weren’t feeling well before the trip, but they had a nurse on-site, which put our minds at ease.

Now, it wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering what you get, I found it acceptable.

The beach walk to the resort is breathtaking, the pools are fantastic, and the ambiance is perfect for family bonding. Enjoyed the amazing nachos by the pool too!
