The location on the lake was absolutely beautiful and the value for money was unbeatable. We felt like we were staying at a luxury resort, but at a fraction of the cost compared to other hotels in Guatemala. The owner, Estuardo, was incredibly friendly and made sure all the guests were well taken care of.

We had an incredible time at Gringo Perdido! The staff were so friendly and the location right by the lake was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, from the fresh juice and fruit in the mornings to the homemade dinner in the evenings. Our accommodation, although simple, was perfect for a remote and relaxing getaway. We loved being able to swim in the perfect temperature lake multiple times a day and take part in activities like stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. We even had the opportunity to do sunrise and sunset kayaking, which was truly magical. We would definitely come back again!

The hotel facilities were outstanding, with free access to paddle boards and kayaks, as well as multiple docks to relax and enjoy the stunning lake. The location was perfect, as it was close enough to walk to the nearby village with its great food outlets, and also offered easy transportation options for day trips to nearby attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and ensuring all our needs were met. Plus, the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying.

The staff at Gringo Perdido were incredibly helpful and friendly, making my experience even more enjoyable. The hotel offers a variety of activities, including swimming in the lake, crocodile watching, and horse riding. One of my favorite things about the hotel was the availability of tea and coffee all day long. The breakfast and dinners were delicious, and I highly recommend going half board. a fantastic stay at Gringo Perdido.

I was blown away by my stay at this incredible hotel. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the down to earth and natural atmosphere that sets Gringo Perdido apart. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even going as far as helping me find Gatorade for my wife when she wasn't feeling well. The wood stove in the morning filled the air with the aroma of simmering black beans, and the views of the lake from the open-air area were absolutely breathtaking. The room with hot showers and air conditioning was worth every penny, especially in the humid September weather. And let's not forget about the stunning lake itself – the warm, blue water was perfect for swimming and kayaking. I can't recommend this hotel enough for a refreshing and rejuvenating getaway.

the staff was attentive and exceeded our expectations, even though we don't speak Spanish. the food was amazing, especially for vegan and vegetarian diets. the location by the lake with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere made our stay unforgettable.

We stayed at Gringo Perdido for a couple of sunny beach days and loved it! The atmosphere was great, with hammocks everywhere to relax and a beautiful setting. The hotel had a great book collection, complementary tea and coffee, and a well-stocked bar. The small on-site gym and kayaks were a bonus. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help, even organizing tours to nearby Mayan ruins and crocodile tours. Perfect hideaway to visit Tikal without staying in busy Flores.

The outdoor activities, including kayaking and swimming, were a highlight of our stay. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the food was delicious. Our room had its own hammock over the water, which was a lovely touch. Despite a few drawbacks, overall I highly recommend this hotel.
