“Pros”: We got incredible value for our money with a beachfront cottage, complete with a hammock, that provided the most amazing views. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful grounds. The staff, especially Talia, Augusta, and Harris, were attentive and friendly. The free breakfasts were delicious, and the snorkeling right in front of the resort was absolutely breathtaking.

This hotel is an absolute gem! The beach location is incredible with fantastic access to the reef and free kayaks to explore the shoreline. The staff are amazing, friendly and will go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The rooms have great AC and Wi-Fi, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious.

Our stay at Puerta Azul Bed & Breakfast was phenomenal. We had an amazing experience at this lovely resort in Roatan. Talia, the owner, and Darci took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. We felt like part of the family, enjoying delicious breakfasts prepared just the way our picky kids like. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and we had a great time meeting new people. The location is perfect, with a private pier and beach, and it's just a short distance from popular shopping areas like West End and West Bay. We took advantage of the incredible snorkeling right off the resort's beach, exploring the coral reef, and swimming with a variety of beautiful fish. We highly recommend Puerta Azul to everyone looking for a smaller, friendly resort with incredible amenities.

We had an amazing time at a beautiful bungalow right on the beach, opposite a gorgeous reef. The room was comfortable and stylish, and the bathroom was well equipped. The service was top-notch, with a delicious breakfast every morning and the staff cleaning our room while we enjoyed our meal. We also enjoyed the stunning views from the pier and had a great time snorkeling for free.

That there were limited dining options within walking distance.

The complementary breakfast and dinner were delicious. The hotel is in a great location with stunning views of the ocean and a private beach. The staff was accommodating and helpful in planning our stay, providing recommendations that made our trip unforgettable.

We had the most amazing time at Puerta Azul Bed & Breakfast! The property was well-maintained and had a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We took a boat trip with her and had a blast cruising in the open water with the sun shining down and some great music playing. Talia's cooking was exceptional and complemented the oceanfront views perfectly. The breakfasts and dinners she prepared were absolutely delicious. The casita we stayed in, Casa Mono, was ideal for our family with its convenient amenities and comfortable king bed. Our kids loved the pack n play provided for our baby. The breakfasts served in the morning were divine and filling. We also enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at the B&B during our stay. Despite the bites from insects, which is typical for Roatan, we couldn't resist spending our days at the private beach. The beach itself was a little rocky and the dock felt unstable, but it made for amazing pictures!

The bungalows were clean and cozy, with a comfortable queen bed and a twin bed as an additional option. The sound of the ocean and the breeze through the windows made for a peaceful sleep. Talia also arranged a rental car for us and a fantastic day on her boat with Captain Greg, who showed us the beautiful coral reefs and secluded beaches. Talia's restaurant recommendations were spot on, especially Ibergaria. We cannot recommend Puerta Azul enough for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

As a budget traveler, I really appreciated the affordable transportation options to and from town. The bungalows were cozy and equipped with strong AC, wifi, and comfy beds. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the fresh seafood. The snorkeling off the dock and kayaking to the reef were great activities. Talia and Darci were amazing hosts, making us feel like guests in their home. Talia's local knowledge was invaluable in finding hidden gems on the island. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the pier and hammocks added a nice touch.

Felt like royalty, no complaints at all.

Puerta Azul Sandy Bay is conveniently located just a short drive away from the bustling tourist areas of West End and West Bay. This allows for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the noise and commotion of bars and clubs. The hotel's prime location right in front of the pier offers easy access to snorkeling and kayaking, providing a memorable experience for guests. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated, with amenities such as a fridge and stove in some casitas. The breakfast served at the hotel is delightful, leaving guests feeling satisfied and ready for the day.

It would have been even better if there were more dining options within walking distance from the hotel.
