Island Hostel provided a wonderful stay for us. The friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen, and nice terrace were some of the highlights. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore both Buda and Pest while also offering a peaceful retreat from the busy city life. The hostel's proximity to the beautiful Margit-Sziget park and gardens was a bonus, and the rooftop area with comfortable seating provided a great spot to relax.

One concern I had was the lack of security, as it would be preferable for each guest to have the key to their room rather than relying on locker keys. the kitchen can sometimes get a bit messy due to its small size, which can be a minor inconvenience.

We had an incredible stay at Island Hostel in Budapest! The location on Margaret Island was absolutely stunning. The hostel is connected to a beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view of the Danube River. Plus, the homemade burgers at the attached restaurant were a hit with my mother. Despite the chilly autumn weather, the staff made sure we were comfortable by turning on the heater in our room. The kitchen, which overlooks the terrace, was bright and perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee while admiring the river. The staff at the hostel were sweet and welcoming, which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this hostel for its fantastic location and friendly atmosphere.

While the room had a terrace door, it was connected to the main terrace, resulting in constant noise and disruption from people coming and going. Additionally, the room became extremely cold in autumn, requiring us to sleep in our warm clothes.

Some staff were dismissive and impolite, which put a damper on my stay. They weren’t accommodating at all times of the day and acted sarcastically.

I recently stayed at Island Hostel for a few days and it was absolutely amazing. The location on Margaret Island is perfect for those who want to disconnect and enjoy nature. The terrace with views of the Danube and Hungarian Parliament is breathtaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. The overall good vibes and unique touches, like funny drawings and international-themed decor, made it easy to meet new people. I highly recommend this place!
