We had a wonderful stay at a hotel in a picturesque location. the room was spacious and comfortable, with great facilities. the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, providing us with helpful tips and suggestions. the food at the hotel was superb, especially the fresh and delicious fish soup. the hotel was centrally located, within walking distance of the harbor and the only restaurant in the village. We also appreciated the convenience of being able to check in without any complications and enjoy a great breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Alfheimar! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel is located in a beautiful area with stunning mountain views from our room. The private bathroom was a nice touch and the rooms were simple but clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast. We also appreciated the convenient location for day hikes and exploring the small town.

Stayed at Alfheimar for a few nights. Great location, set away from the main area but still convenient. Modern, well-equipped room with a comfortable bed and nice view of the fjord. Ensuite bathroom with a generous-sized shower. Breakfast had ample choice and local additions. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Short drive to see the plentiful puffins. Looking forward to returning.

Great selection of breakfast food and drinks, perfect for adults and children. Comfortable rooms with blackout curtains and spacious bathrooms. Friendly staff, especially Mike, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Beautiful location with ocean views in the front and mountains in the back. Close proximity to a puffin colony, making it a great opportunity for bird watching.

I recently stayed at a guesthouse in Bakkagerdi on the east coast and had a wonderful experience. The drive to the guesthouse was adventurous, with gravel roads and hairpin bends, but the stunning setting made it all worthwhile. The guesthouse itself was basic, but incredibly clean and the staff were helpful throughout my stay.

Although the main hut, where the office and meals were served, was a bit noisy, I would highly recommend requesting a room in one of the other buildings. The rooms in the main hut were not soundproof, and every sound seemed to echo through the hard floors.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Egilsstadir and was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service I received. I arrived late at night, and despite the late hour, the manager assured me that someone would be there to check me in. True to their word, when I arrived, an employee was waiting for me, ensuring a quick and easy check-in process.

Although the rooms were basic, they served their purpose for the few hours I spent there. I did find the rooms to be colder than expected compared to other accommodations in Iceland, but the beds and comforters were comfortable once I bundled up in extra layers.

Value for the money was excellent! The room at Alfheimar was spacious, clean, and had an amazing view. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, offering great recommendations for activities to do. the location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. One of the best aspects was the delicious food, which showcased local products and flavors.

The GPS had trouble finding the hotel, but since the area was small, we were able to locate it by driving around. Additionally, the lack of hairdryers in the rooms was a minor inconvenience, but we were forewarned and brought our own.

The owner is super knowledgeable and welcoming, offering us a yummy meal upon arrival. The room was mind-blowingly nice, with a jaw-dropping view. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, suggesting amazing sights and even tips for our next adventure. The area itself was absolutely breathtaking, making it the best place we've stayed at during our trip. And let me tell you, the shower was out of this world! Beds were comfy and the sunset views were just phenomenal. Loved every second of our stay! Plus, the breakfast and dinner were simple but delicious. Wi-fi worked great and cots were available if needed.
