Hotel. The apartment was beautifully designed with a modern and light style, and the views from the room were absolutely breathtaking. I loved the peaceful location above the village, with stunning fjord and mountain views. Strolling along the old tracks and being surrounded by nature was truly magical. The breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of high-quality meats, cheeses, homemade jams, and delicious Skyr. I even had the opportunity to see the northern lights from my room! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I can't recommend this hotel enough for its stunning location, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional hospitality.

360 degrees view of the mountains and sea: I felt like I was on top of the world, surrounded by nature's stunning beauty. The view from my private sun terrace was like a painting come to life, with the mountains and sea stretching out in all directions.

The penthouse was stunning: beautifully decorated, spacious, and had a large terrace with a private hot tub. We were lucky to see the Northern Lights from there. The entire hotel was nicely decorated, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious.

This hotel is absolutely mind-blowing! The decor is jaw-dropping, with art from Icelandic artists everywhere. The rooms are luxurious and well-appointed. The staff is super friendly and check-in is a breeze. The breakfast is top-notch. The location is secluded and offers beautiful views. I loved the drive up Eyjafjörður, it's stunning. The penthouse suite was the best place we stayed during our trip. The bed was so comfortable and the space had everything we could want. The common areas are filled with beautiful art and are perfect for relaxing. The coffee from the coffee machine was excellent. It's an ideal place for those who want to avoid overcrowded hotels and enjoy stunning nature. Hjalteyri is a charming village with an art center and whale watching. We used the hotel as a base for day tours to neighboring towns and it was perfect. The geothermal hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to end a day of exploring. Highly recommend this place, we would stay here again and again.

apt. hotel hjalteyri was a truly unique and wonderful stay. the renovated school turned art museum/gallery was a luxurious and well-appointed accommodation. the staff was great and the breakfast was delicious. the location, perched above a fjord-side town, offered a breathtaking view and a peaceful atmosphere, exceeding our expectations during this relaxing spa holiday.

The hotel was impeccably presented with modern and clean facilities. The quiet location allowed for a peaceful and comfortable experience, surrounded by stunning nature. The breakfast provided was ample and delicious, providing me with enough energy for a day filled with various activities nearby.

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at a beautiful hotel in Hjalteyri. the hotel had stylish and clean rooms with amazing views. the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. the breakfast was delicious and provided a great start to our day. the location was convenient and close to Akureyri. We also enjoyed exploring the art museum and the beautiful design of the hotel. it was a fantastic experience.

That the communal hot tub was located in the car park, which made us reluctant to use it. However, this was the only thing we didn't like and it didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the hotel.

The modern and clean space in the converted school near the fjord was a delight to stay in. The room offered a great view and the town provided a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend Apt. Hotel for a relaxing getaway.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The rooftop apartment had amazing views, spacious terrace, and a jacuzzi. The beds were perfect for a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious and diverse. The staff was lovely and helpful. The hotel had beautiful artwork and a great location near a charming town. a fabulous experience!

Nothing negative to say.

We got excellent value for our money at Apt. Hotel. The rooms were spacious, modern, and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The location was perfect for scuba diving at Strytan, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better would be to have more fresh fruit options.

I felt like a queen in the penthouse apartment, with my own private terrace and stunning views. The staff were so eager to please, making me feel like royalty. The communal hot tub was a nice touch, perfect for relaxing with a drink from the snack bar. And the free WiFi was a lifesaver!
