We had a superb stay at Gistihusith - Lake Hotel! The room was absolutely lovely, with a huge bed and a nice seating area. The view of the lake was stunning. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant, and the breakfast was copious with lots of hot and cold options. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for its beautiful rooms, great food, and picturesque location.

The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The restaurant was fantastic with a gourmet 5 course vegan tasting menu. They offered a wake-up service for the Northern Lights. Good location near Vok Baths and the town.

Beautifully decorated lobby with plenty of seating and a play area for children. Large breakfast selection including gluten-free options and freshly made waffles. Comfortable beds in historical rooms with modern bathrooms, some rooms feature a farm-style desk. Quiet location with ample parking.

Felt like treated like royalty, nothing too much trouble.

I had a lovely stay at a charmingly decorated room with beautiful views of the lake. The baby crib was set up as requested, free of charge. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options including smoked salmon and pickled herring. The insulation was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

Although there were some minor drawbacks, such as the lack of towel hooks in the handicap accessible room and the broken dryer in the self-service laundry, they did not significantly impact our overall experience.

During Christmas, we stayed at a small hotel overlooking a beautiful lake in Iceland. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the complementary spa treatment and delicious breakfast. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby town and surrounding nature. One of the best things about our stay was the cozy fireplace in the common area, which we loved to sit by and chat with other guests.

The strong sulfur smell made our stay less pleasant, especially when taking a shower. It ruined the overall experience, despite the fact that the bathroom was clean and functional.
