Well-Run, Clean, High-Quality Breakfast

I recently stayed at a hotel in Dalvik and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was well-managed and incredibly clean, exceeding my expectations. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of high-quality items, and the staff promptly replenished anything that ran out. The location was convenient, with easy access to the harbor for whale watching tours and a short walk to Dalvik's restaurants. The hotel also provided free admission to the public swimming pool and offered a laundry service, which was a huge bonus for my longer Iceland tour. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had large windows with effective curtains. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Dalvik.

Lovely mountain view, short walk to town, easy parking, friendly owner, flexible reservation change, good breakfast selection.

Good location, access to local pool and on-site restaurant. Great breakfast with fresh eggs and sausages. Reception doubling as a bar is convenient. Nice touch with fresh flowers and candles in the reception area.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the port, making it a great choice for those wanting to catch the ferry to the Grímsey island. The rooms are clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The bathrooms have adequate showers with instant hot water and enough towels. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they even arranged activities like horseback riding and whale watching. The breakfast is amazing, with a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, cereals, and even freshly-made chocolate cake.

Some guests mentioned that the standard rooms can be a bit basic and not as clean as expected.

The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, they were friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The live music from a local group was a fantastic surprise and added a great atmosphere to our stay. Another highlight was the delicious and generous breakfast that had a wide variety of options to choose from.

While the staff were amazing, we found that the building itself was a bit old and in need of some maintenance. The carpets in particular were not in the best condition and posed a problem for those with allergies.

The hotel in the valley had surprisingly good prices for what it offered. The rooms, although small, were clean and comfortable, and we were able to get a good night's sleep thanks to the blackout curtains. The breakfast, included in the rate, was excellent and a great way to start the day.

All was good, nothing to complain about.
