We loved the value for our money at Gerdi Guesthouse. The room was spacious and had a stunning view. The location was perfect, just a short drive from the beautiful Jökulsárlón glacial lake. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile.

Breakfast choices could have been improved with more variety.

Staying at this guesthouse was a good decision for us. the location was perfect, situated near Diamond Beach and Jokurallson, which made it convenient for us to explore these attractions. the room had a nice view of the lagoon, especially if you're on the right side. the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We also enjoyed a tasty dinner during our stay. as a family, we appreciated having a spacious family room with enough beds for everyone. the room was clean and spacious, providing a pleasant stay.

The location of the guesthouse was fantastic, just a short distance from the stunning Jökulsárlón lagoon. We were able to easily book a tour with Blue Iceland and go directly from the guesthouse. The staff at the guesthouse were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed having access to a TV with Netflix and other apps in our room. Everything in the guesthouse was clean and well-maintained.

The location was great and close to the meeting point for ice cave and glacier tours. The bungalows were cute and the staff were friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. On our recent trip to a guesthouse by the sea, we had mixed feelings about our experience. On the positive side, the location was truly remarkable. Situated on a farm, we were able to enjoy the tranquility of nature and the breathtaking view of the ocean. Being so close to the national park, we had easy access to explore the beautiful surroundings. the proximity to the jokulsarlon glacial lagoon was a major advantage for us.

There were some negative aspects to our stay. The restaurant lacked sufficient seating, which made it difficult to enjoy our meals comfortably.

Clean room, great location near Jökulsárlón and friendly staff. Nice restaurant with good food. Scenic waterfront views. Nearby dining options.

The Gerdi Guesthouse is a great place to rest between exploring the stunning nature of South Iceland. Located near the Jökulsárlón lagoon, it offers a convenient base for visiting the area's landmarks. The restaurant serves excellent meals, with the lobster being a standout dish. the rooms are clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the attached restaurant. the common room in the main building was a nice space to relax. the location was fantastic, allowing us to easily visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. It was a great place to rest for a night or two.

our longer stay at gerdi guesthouse in gerdi was absolutely fantastic. the location right by the water and close proximity to the jokulsarlon glacier lagoon made for breathtaking views. the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even providing an early breakfast. truly a remarkable experience.

Temperature control in the bungalows was an issue.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse near Jökulsarlon. The location was ideal, being very close to the glacial lagoon and the national park. The cleanliness of the guesthouse was impressive, and the staff was amazing, providing excellent service. The comfortable beds and private bathroom were a bonus, as these amenities are not always common in other accommodations in Iceland.

I recently stayed at Gerdi Guesthouse for the second time on my trip to the beautiful Jökulsárlón ice lake. The new building was impressive with spacious rooms and modern amenities. The cleanliness was top-notch and the common areas were tastefully decorated. The location, nestled between mountains and a stunning salt lake, provided breathtaking views, especially during sunrise. The soothing sound of the nearby sea added to the peaceful ambiance. The convenience of being just a 5-minute drive from Jökulsárlón was a definite plus.

the location was perfect, just a short 10-minute drive from the stunning Jogursarlon Lagoon. Arriving at night may have been a bit intimidating due to the lack of lights on the road, but once I reached the guesthouse, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, equipped with all the necessary amenities. the on-site restaurant served delicious food with generous portions, and I even had the opportunity to enjoy a second serving of the soup of the day. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Stayed at a cozy guesthouse in a beautiful location. the view would have been stunning if not for construction nearby. the staff were very nice and hospitable. Enjoyed a home-cooked style dinner with delicious lamb, veggies, and potatoes for 4000 Kronen each. the breakfast, priced at 2000 Kronen, was decent. Laundry facilities were also available. the stay was great and the price was fair.
