just had a lovely stay in budardalur. gil guesthouse was even better than before - super accommodating staff, delicious meals, and little extras that made us feel important. great value compared to other places in iceland.

Room could use a little more cleaning.

We stayed at Gil Guesthouse for 3 nights while exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and Eiriksstadir Viking Longhouse. The location was perfect, just off the road to the west fjords and only 15 minutes away from a natural hot spring. The room had everything we needed, including our own bathroom. We loved the shared entrance/sitting room with its coffee maker, microwave, and dining table. The friendly on-site dog was a great welcoming touch.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The value for the money was fantastic! The room was well equipped, with a separate entrance and comfortable beds. The location was remote, allowing for beautiful surroundings, and the staff at Gil Guesthouse were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Billiards and darts: I felt like a professional billiards player as I effortlessly sank each ball into the pockets, my friends were amazed by my skills. It was like playing in a championship match, but with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
