the location was convenient and quiet, just off the highway and near the center of town. The room was spacious with nice big windows. Disliked aspects: there was no staff around at breakfast time and the coffee maker was complicated. The toilets and showers were on different levels, which was a bit inconvenient.

The staff and cleanliness blew us away with their superb attention. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The kitchen and sauna were excellent. The surrounding village is very charming.

Our room, as a family of 4, was sunny, spacious, and comfortable. one of our most relaxing stays in Iceland.

The reception staff even took the time to show me around the hostel and explain the facilities in detail. This level of service was truly exceptional and made me feel like a valued guest. The cleanliness of the hostel was also top-notch, with the shared bathrooms and toilets being well-maintained. The showers were perfect and there was even a sauna available for guests to use. The fully equipped kitchen was a great feature, allowing me to prepare my own meals. I also loved the Swiss hut-like bathrooms and the guest sauna in the basement. Hafaldan Hi Hostel provided a wonderful atmosphere and a memorable experience.

We had an amazing stay at this chic and friendly hostel. The value for money was excellent and our room was comfortable with clean and crisp linens. The location in a pretty seaside village was picturesque. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

The only drawback was that there could have been more breakfast options available.
