As the only hotel on this tiny island, Hotel Flatey provided a unique and memorable experience. The food was excellent, with dinner and breakfast included in our room rate. The shared bathrooms were not a problem for us. Despite being a bit expensive, it's understandable considering the logistics of transporting everything to the island. Highly recommended!

Had a great time ringing in the new year at this hotel! the staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the location was perfect, right in the heart of the old village, surrounded by charming timber structures. We enjoyed the unique atmosphere, feeling like we were stepping back in time. the cozy guest rooms and inviting dining room were converted warehouses, adding to the charm. Plus, the food was delicious, with a view over the village and coastline. A truly unforgettable experience!

One downside was the shared bathroom facilities. It was a bit inconvenient having to wait for others to finish using the bathroom.

Loved the remote and picturesque location, perfect for unwinding and finding peace. the small and beautifully decorated rooms added to the charm of the island. the absence of Wi-Fi allowed me to fully appreciate the stunning horizon and disconnect from technology.

Although the rooms were small, they were tastefully decorated and in line with the island's style. the lack of conveniences such as Wi-Fi and high pressure showers was expected given the remote location.
