We had a great experience at the Guesthouse in Hvammstangi. The location was perfect, right on the main road in the center of town. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing us with lots of helpful information. The room was very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the spacious sitting room. While the cooking facilities were basic, with no hotplates, the large fridge was convenient. It was a nice touch to have beer and soft drinks available until 7pm. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. a lovely guesthouse in a great location.

During our New Year stay in Hvammstangi, we found the hotel to be a good choice. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The Scandinavian decor added a nice touch. The owner was extremely helpful, providing us with suggestions for scenic spots in the area that we hadn't considered. The breakfast was a highlight, with a variety of options including shelled hard-boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, chopped veggies. The location was also convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the fjord. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt well taken care of.

The only drawbacks we experienced were the small size of the rooms and the occasional electricity outages. The rooms were on the smaller side, although adequately outfitted.
