The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with the Hekla volcano providing a breathtaking backdrop. It truly gave us an authentic Icelandic experience. The camping site was well-equipped, with clean toilets, showers, and wind protecting bushes for the tents. The "viking outdoor spa" was an added bonus, and it was free for all guests who stayed overnight.- The staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming, providing us with helpful recommendations and advice. We also enjoyed the local dishes and spirits offered at the restaurant and bar.

The hotel was quite a distance from the main city, which led to some confusion and worry late at night. It would have been helpful to have clearer signage on the way to the hotel.
