This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful nature of Snaefellsjokull peninsula. The wooden interiors give a cozy, log cabin feel. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast has a great variety of options with freshly brewed coffee.

We had an amazing stay at Stundarfridur! the hotel is situated in a beautiful and secluded location, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the host who gave us a tour of the premises. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a romantic touch to its furnishings. We had a great night's sleep here, and the well-equipped bathroom with a good shower added to our comfort. the breakfast provided was delicious, and my husband particularly appreciated the availability of coffee. the staff was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. the family-friendly atmosphere and the abundance of books and board games added to the homely feel of the establishment. We also loved the selection of locally-sourced, handmade souvenirs available. the food served was not only affordable but also incredibly tasty. the wifi worked well, and we never experienced any issues with hot water.

My stay in this guesthouse located on the Snaefellsnes peninsula was such a great experience. The location in quiet rural area was ideal, with lovely views from the dining area and beautiful nature all around, perfect for low-budget travelers looking for a relaxing break. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a great bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, with made to cook eggs and bacon, and coffee and tea were available at all times. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was also an easy drive to nearby restaurants in Stykkishólmur for a good dinner.

There were no facilities available to keep our food refrigerated.

our second stay in this quaint hotel was even better than the first. the newly built deck offers stunning views while enjoying delicious food and drinks. the rooms are smartly decorated and very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. make sure to try the Icelandic trout with mango salsa and pair it with the Einstock white ale in the restaurant!

Parking is a bit rough for regular cars.

We had a lovely stay at this cozy guesthouse. The room was clean and the decor was charming. The food was delicious, especially the sea trout. Although the road to the guesthouse was a bit rough, it added to the adventure of exploring the area. we highly recommend Stundarfridur for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at this new guesthouse, and it was truly enjoyable. The room comfortably accommodated three adults, and the breakfast buffet in the morning was great. The staff welcomed us warmly, even though we arrived at almost 9 pm. The location may not be near many attractions, but it's just a short drive to Stykkishólmur. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this guesthouse.
