Loved the rural setting overlooking the duck pond and sheep pasture. The communal atmosphere of the guesthouse with shared kitchen and dining room was great. The room was comfortable and spacious with its own sink. The shared bathrooms were spotless and had great showers. Laundry facilities were available and staff was helpful. The kitchen and dining area were pristine and well-equipped.

I stayed at Hvoll for three nights during my trip to Iceland. The hostel had three individual kitchens, which made cooking and cleaning up a breeze. The rooms had a nice view and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was peaceful and ideal for observing birds. The hostel also had a big parking area and free wifi. it was a great experience and I would definitely come back again.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with spotlessly clean bathrooms. The kitchen facilities are impressive, with all the necessary equipment and ample space for large groups. The hostel also offers free Wi-Fi and a big parking area.

One downside is that Wi-Fi is only available in the common area, not in the rooms.

I recently stayed at a spotlessly clean hostel/guest house tucked away in a remote location. The room was good and the dining area was spacious. What impressed me the most were the separate kitchens for guests to prepare their meals. They were well-equipped and I never had to wait or queue for cooking. The views from the hostel were also beautiful and I had the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The owner, Filippus, was incredibly helpful and kept us informed about road conditions during a blizzard. it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely come back.

We were pleasantly surprised by Hvoll Hostel! It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. The beds were comfortable and there was no wait for the shower in the morning. The kitchen was well-equipped and there were even multiple kitchens available. The staff was kind and accommodating, allowing us to check-in late and leaving clear instructions for us. We will definitely return when we're back in Iceland!

Although the road to Hvoll was a bit difficult to locate, the detailed directions provided in the confirmation email helped us find it easily. Additionally, the closest supermarket was about a 30-minute drive away, but this allowed for a peaceful and secluded atmosphere at Hvoll.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms in the morning was not up to par, which was more the fault of other guests than the hostel staff. the price of the stay was slightly expensive for the standard of the accommodation.
