The rooms have plenty of electric outlets and there is a locker available for personal belongings. The breakfast buffet is satisfactory and served in a pleasant room. The staff is efficient and the cleaning staff is always around to clear tables and replenish selections.

There is no elevator to move heavy baggage to the upstairs rooms.

The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the staff was very helpful and even organized a shared taxi ride for me, which saved me money. I also loved the excellent shower and kitchen facilities, making my stay even more convenient. Another advantage was the location, as it was just a short drive from the airport and there was no noise during the night.

Finding the place was a bit difficult, especially without a proper navigator or when your phone is low on battery. It is tucked away in an industrial park near the airport, so I recommend printing off a map before going.

The self-serve breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were very comfortable and located in a quiet area. I also appreciated the opportunity to take a shower in the afternoon after checkout before my later flight. I will enthusiastically recommend Start Hostel to others.

We loved our stay at this hostel! The reception is open 24/7 and we had no problem checking in at 1am. The included breakfast had surprisingly many healthy options, including sugar-free porridge. The suite we stayed in was clean and very spacious, perfect for our young family. The common kitchen was convenient for storing food and washing bottles. The location is great for visiting the Fagradalsfjall volcano, just a 20-minute drive away. The hotel offers affordable laundry service, a big plus. The breakfast starting at 3:30am was perfect for our early flight. The hairdryer and tea/coffee station were nice touches. a fantastic experience!
