The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions. The peaceful surroundings made it feel like a true escape from the bustle of daily life.

The property is quite remote, so having a car is a must. the lack of local restaurants or supermarkets meant that dining options were limited, and could get quite pricey.

Our stay at Torfhus felt like a true escape. The beautifully designed rooms and peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect retreat. The outside hot spa was a delightful treat. The chef's culinary creations were a highlight of our evenings. Despite being a bit remote, it was worth the drive. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and rejuvenating experience.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to the incredible Gulfoss waterfalls and the nearby glacier. We were also pleased to find that there were restaurants and supermarkets in close proximity, making it convenient to grab a bite to eat or pick up any necessities. The room we stayed in was well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, ensuring that we felt welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a variety of options to suit everyone's tastes. Additionally, the hotel had facilities such as a hot tub and a courtesy phone call service to notify guests about the Northern Lights activity.

We were disappointed to discover that there was a lack of cooperation from the hotel when we faced unforeseeable weather conditions that prevented us from reaching the retreat by car.

We had an amazing stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful vistas and within easy driving distance to popular attractions like the geysers and waterfalls. The hotel itself was stunning, with charming architecture and decor that transported us back in time. The staff were exceptional, providing us with a warm welcome and going out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The food was some of the best we've had in Iceland, and the private outdoor pool was a special treat. we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back.
