I recently stayed at Vagnsstadir Guesthouse for a few nights during my trip to Borgarhofn. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check out a little later and even providing an extra bed at short notice. The rooms were modern and had a Scandinavian chic feel to them. I especially loved the black out curtains, which were essential during the everlasting light of the Icelandic summer. The view from the old building was magnificent, showcasing the beauty of the surroundings. The breakfast offered a nice variety and the young man running the buffet was friendly and attentive. it was great value for the price.

Stayed at a guesthouse with a fantastic view and great location near Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. the room was larger than expected, comfortably accommodating a family of four. the bathroom was spacious and the entire facility was clean. the staff was very nice and the simple breakfast provided was satisfactory. Although there was no cooking facilities, a microwave was available in the common room.
