The Room: Feeling like royalty, I stepped onto the balcony and gasped at the grandeur of Mount Kanchendzonga. It felt as if the mountain was so close, I could almost touch it. the view was so stunning, it made me forget about everything else.

I had a fantastic stay at Cedar Inn in Darjeeling for a business trip, chosen by my director. the location was excellent, away from the bustling part of town with breathtaking views of the city and hills. the private lawn was a serene spot to relax and soak in the scenic beauty of the valley below. the general manager, Mr Sanjay Nangia, and his team were incredibly hospitable, always ensuring a comfortable stay. the locally sourced meals prepared by the chef were delicious and personalized to our requests. the exclusive room setup provided privacy and stunning views of Mount Kanchenjunga. the staff, especially Mr Sanjay and Mr Siddartha, were attentive and accommodating, making the overall experience delightful. the chauffeur, Jeevan, went above and beyond to tailor our sightseeing trips for everyone in the group.

Intermittent power and internet issues.

The database provided was extensive and user-friendly, making it easy to search for specific information. the room was beautifully decorated, with a breathtaking view of Darjeeling and Kanchenjunga from the window.

The room was surprisingly small, with a mini-sized TV that was not worth the high tariff.

Nestled on the top of a small hill, this hotel offers a breathtaking view of the valley and peaks. It's conveniently located close to the main town square, making it easily accessible. The rooms are tastefully decorated with a rustic charm, and the spacious bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff provides exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The delicious spread for breakfast is a definite highlight, with a variety of options to choose from.

One downside is the spotty wifi, which could benefit from an upgrade.

Couldn't stay longer.

We stayed at a cozy hotel during our Thanksgiving break. We really enjoyed the excellent staff service and the homemade delicious food served at their restaurant. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, giving us enough room to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

the hotel's location was quite secluded, making it difficult to find and get to without a taxi or car rental. we had a decent stay, but the unreliable WIFI and secluded location proved to be our biggest concerns during our visit.

I recently stayed at Cedar Inn in Darjeeling for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The highlight was definitely the exceptional view of the Kanchenjunga range from my room. Every morning, I enjoyed watching the sunrise with a cup of tea that I could conveniently make in the room. Another great feature was the shuttle service provided by the courteous and helpful staff, which made it easy to explore the city. The hotel itself is a beautiful heritage property with lush greenery and clean surroundings. The staff, including the chef, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. I have already recommended this hotel to a friend whose parents are visiting soon.

Despite a few drawbacks such as old mattresses and limited shuttle service, overall I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and lovely views.
